Brake pads are a component of disc brakes used in automotive. Brake pads are steel backing plates with friction material bound to the surface that faces the disc brake rotor. Brake pads convert the kinetic energy of the car to thermal energy by friction. Two brake pads are contained in the brake caliper with their friction surfaces facing the rotor. When the brakes are hydraulically applied, the caliper clamps the two pads together into the spinning rotor to slow/stop the vehicle. When a brake pad is heated by contact with a rotor, it transfers small amounts of friction material to the disc, turning it dull gray.

Drive Shaft  is mechanism that transfer engine torque from the transaxle differential to the wheels. The basic FWD and RWD driveline consists of two drive shafts while 4WD drive line has four. The shafts extend out from each side of the differential to supply power to the drive wheels.

“C.V.Joints” are one of the most important components of a drive axle and used to transfer a uniform torque at a constant speed while operating through a wide range of angles.

The part that transmits the rotational motion it receives from the differential to the wheels is called an axle shaft.

The water radiator is the element that cools the cooling water circulating in the engine with the help of air and cooling fans by passing it through its serpentines.

Fins attached to the core tubes serve to increase surface for heat transfer to air that is forced past them, by a fan, thereby heating the passenger compartment.

The blower motor is the fan that pushes heated or cooled air through dashboard vents based on the climate system settings and the fan speed selected.

The cooling fan motor powers the cooling fan, which keeps the engine from overheating. The fan is located in the engine compartment, at the front or rear of the radiator. The fan cools the coolant as it passes through the radiator. The coolant flows through the entire engine and is responsible for absorbing the extra heat and thereby preventing the engine from overheating. The fan blows the air from the outside and passes it through the radiator. If the cooling fan motor and the fan stop working, the coolant will remain hot and cause the engine to overheat.

Its an additional cooling used in turbocharged engines  to cool the  heated air compressed by turbocharger.  Elevated air pressurised by turbo, passes through the tubes of the radiator to be cooled down and sent again to the motor. With the employment of an intercooler, exhaust emission is improved, engine efficiency is increased, fuel consumption is reduced

Evaporator, located at the bottom of the automobile torpedo, next to the heater radiator, the task of this part is to cool and dry the circulating air. For this reason, air-conditioned vehicles should be considered normal to see water drops from the bottom when they are stopped.

The oil cooler radiators are used to cool the oils of engines operating at very low or very high speeds for a long time. As engine oils get warmer, their friction coefficient decreases and parallel to this, they lose their lubricating properties.

Gasoline pump, or fuel pump, is found in LPG and diesel vehicles. It is a very important part that transfers the fuel in the vehicle from the tank to the engine. From the moment the ignition of the vehicle is turned on, this pump is activated before full cranking and the fuel is transferred to the engine part of the vehicle by the pumping process.

Fuel supply unit is the equipment used to measure the amount of liquid in the fuel tank. In case of malfunction, it may cause the vehicle to stay on the road as it will cause a jam in the fuel gauge.

The wheel hub assembly is located between the brake drums or discs and the drive axle.    A wheel is bolted on it. Depending on the construction, the end of hub comes equipped with the splined teeth. They mate the teeth on the axle shaft. The axle hub spins along with the wheels bolted to it and provide the power to the wheels in order to rotate.

Shock absorber is one of the suspension parts of the vehicle. The main task of the shock absorbers is to reduce the oscillation of the springs and to prevent the tire from losing its grip and loss of control by springing repeatedly when a pit is dropped and a mound is passed. The gas spring is used to lift any load on the vehicles and to accommodate the necessary items during travel, is located at the rear of the vehicle. This shock absorber, which can be found in two forms as internal and external, ensures that the upward-rising cover is opened correctly.

Window regulators are components that make it possible to lower and raise the window glass in a vehicle at will. In carburetor vehicles, the part that draws the gasoline in the tank and sends it to the carburetor is called a mechanical gasoline pump or gasoline automatic.
